Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an experienced OCIP Safety Manager to oversee construction site safety across multiple active projects under an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP). This full-time on-site role emphasizes OSHA compliance, safety standards enforcement, and proactive safety culture with travel between sites as needed.

The ideal candidate has heavy construction safety experience, CHST certification, and strong communication skills to partner with contractors, project teams and insurers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy construction safety experience required.
• CHST certification required.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
• Experience with OCIP programs is highly beneficial.
• Experience conducting site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and investigations.
• Ability to travel regularly between active construction sites.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with contractors and project teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety activities across multiple OCIP projects.
• Travel between sites to perform inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Monitor OSHA, OCIP, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Identify hazards and coordinate timely corrective actions with contractors.
• Lead daily safety reviews and ensure procedural compliance.
• Prepare safety reports and maintain documentation for compliance.
• Investigate incidents and near-misses, support corrective actions.
• Participate in project meetings to provide safety guidance and updates.
• Support OSHA inspections and regulatory interactions as needed.
• Ensure completion of required safety training and tailgate meetings.
• Lead safety stand-downs and promote continuous improvement.
