Job summary

Acrisure is seeking an experienced OCIP Safety Manager to oversee construction safety across multiple active projects in a travel‑heavy role. You will ensure OSHA compliance, enforce project safety standards, and promote a proactive safety culture on site.

The ideal candidate has significant heavy construction safety experience, is comfortable traveling between sites, and can lead safety initiatives while collaborating with contractors, project teams, and insurers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of heavy construction safety experience required.
• CHST certification required.
• Experience supporting or managing OCIP programs is highly beneficial.
• Experience conducting construction site inspections, safety audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations required.
• Ability to travel regularly between active construction project sites.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with contractors, project teams, clients, and regulatory agencies.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety reporting documentation required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction site safety activities across multiple active OCIP projects.
• Travel between assigned construction sites to conduct routine safety inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
• Monitor compliance with OSHA regulations, OCIP requirements, and project-specific safety standards.
• Identify safety hazards and partner with contractors to implement timely corrective actions.
• Conduct daily safety reviews of work in progress and verify compliance with safety procedures.
• Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports and documentation.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and recordable injuries and support corrective actions.
• Participate in project meetings and provide safety guidance and compliance updates.
• Support OSHA inspections and regulatory interactions as required.
• Verify completion of required safety training and tailgate meetings.
• Lead safety stand-downs and reinforce safe work practices after incidents.
• Promote continuous improvement through coaching, education, and risk management initiatives.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
