Job summary

You will manage renewals, advise on pricing, and collaborate with regional managers and product leaders to optimize profitability and operations. This role requires up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of current experience underwriting profitable ocean marine business.
• Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills reflective of progression of positions of increasing responsibility.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and skilled presentation aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, accept, and decline Ocean Marine risks to ensure profitability for Markel.
• Underwrite and select new business that will produce an underwriting profit.
• Manage the existing renewal book and implement corrective measures to meet profitability expectations.
