City of Austin's Animal Services seeks an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist Senior to develop and implement the safety program across the department, including training on workplace violence prevention, defensive driving, and orientation for new employees.

The role conducts incident investigations, hazard analyses, and audits, establishes policies, and collaborates with COSHN and OSHA standards to protect staff and the public.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 2 years of experience.
• Experience may substitute for education up to four years.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred.

Mansioni

• Develops and administers safety programs for the Animal Services division.
• Conducts safety training, vehicle safety, and drills.
• Investigates accidents and analyzes safety data to prevent incidents.
