Job summary

Roblox Corporation seeks a Senior Software Engineer for the Observability team in San Mateo. You will define the vision, own the scalable observability infrastructure, and architect next-gen solutions to process billions of time series and PBs of logs daily.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with partners, and drive end-to-end project execution in a hybrid role that requires presence at the San Mateo HQ three days a week (Tue–Thu).

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building, maintaining, and evolving large-scale distributed systems.
• Ability to own end-to-end availability and performance of critical services.
• Experience contributing to Open Source projects and leveraging AI for incident detection.

Responsibilities

• Define vision and roadmap with business partners for observability.
• Own the observability infrastructure end-to-end and scale it for high data volumes.
• Architect next-generation observability infrastructures to handle billions of time series and PBs of logs.
• Expand the Roblox culture by aligning with company vision and delivering results.
• Work from Roblox HQ in San Mateo on a hybrid schedule (Tue–Thu in office).
