Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• End-to-end ownership of critical services to reduce operational overhead.
• Open source contributions and familiarity with AI-driven incident detection.
• Mentoring junior engineers and helping them grow technically.
• BS in Computer Science; master's degree as a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define vision and roadmap with business partners and lead end-to-end project execution.
• Own observability infrastructure to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Architect next-gen observability infrastructure to handle billions of time series and PBs of logs/traces daily.
• Follow Roblox vision and execute with speed to deliver value.
• Hybrid role located at Roblox HQ in San Mateo; required presence Tue–Thu.
