Truist is seeking an Observability Lead-Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to shape and scale enterprise observability. You will define telemetry strategy, implement OpenTelemetry instrumentation, and lead a hands-on, customer-facing effort with SRE, platform, and development teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise infrastructure technologies including cloud, network, database, storage, platform, computing, and middleware.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise observability across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Develop telemetry pipelines using OpenTelemetry and modern tooling.
• Coach and guide engineers on instrumentation, performance optimization, and incident response.
• Collaborate with SREs, platform teams, and developers to scale observability capabilities.
• Drive automation, dashboards, and Kafka-based telemetry patterns for operational insights.
• Ensure compliance with governance and security standards in observability solutions.
