Job summary
Isuzu North America is seeking an Engineer II or Sr level in Plymouth, MI to advance onboard diagnostics calibration development and validation for diesel/ powertrain applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to implement diagnostic strategies, ensure regulatory compliance, and perform testing and verification activities.
The role emphasizes independent judgment, timely project execution, and mentoring junior staff while coordinating with internal stakeholders across product
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive or commercial vehicle engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in OBD systems, engine controls, calibration, or powertrain development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and validate diagnostic calibrations and strategies.
- Collaborate with calibration engineers, software developers, and product development teams to resolve diagnostic issues.
- Support regulatory compliance activities and issue resolution.
- Assist in development and execution of diagnostic development plans.
