Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking an OBD DDV Senior Engineer for the Superior Township facility in Michigan. You will support DDV testing, certification documentation, and agency Q&A to ensure timely OBD certification for Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

The role requires 10+ years in automotive engineering and 5+ years in OBD certification, with strong knowledge of OBD regulations, testing, and cross-functional coordination. Travel up to 20% may be involved.

Qualifications

• Experience with OBDII/HDOBD regulations and automotive standards.
• Strong understanding of monitor strategies, MIL concepts, and readiness.
• Experience with vehicle emission testing and related regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct DDV testing to support OBD certification requirements.
• Review and approve official DDV tests and documentation.
• Support agency Q&A related to OBD certification.
• Participate in industry meetings/events discussing OBD regulation changes.
• Coordinate alignment meetings with stakeholders to ensure on-time certification.
