Job summary

Timken in North Canton, OH, seeks Principal Process Engineer focusing on NVH and gauging. You will develop metrology gauging processes, support global manufacturing plants, and work with R&D, quality and technology teams to deploy new measurement solutions for bearing components and assemblies.

You will lead NVH testing, data analysis, and project management for gauging systems, with opportunities to influence global processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering with minimum 7 years relevant experience.
• Experience with NVH testing and gauging systems is required.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 15%.

Responsibilities

• Support NVH testing and signal processing for bearing components.
• Serve as Gauging SME for roundness, form, optical and surface finish.
• Develop corporate gauging strategy and pursue cost-reduction opportunities.
• Apply mathematical analyses and gauge R&R studies.
• Specify and deploy gauging inspection solutions globally.
• Lead projects and report progress and issues.
• Support new product launches through inspection methodologies.
• Travel as required (5–15%).
