Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or Bronze ACT WorkKeys NCRC.
• Defensive Driving training within hire period and CPR/First Aid within 3 months.
• Food Handler’s certification within 30 days; failure to obtain may affect employment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and the public; follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer and office equipment usage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritional meals to senior citizens in county programs.
• Prepare, season, cook, portion, and serve meals ensuring balanced nutrition.
• Preserve raw and prepared foods per health guidelines and temperatures.
• Clean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen and dining areas, equipment, and supplies.
• Plan daily menus, record meals served, and manage inventories of food and supplies.
• Unloads, stocks bulk food, and provides catering and sack lunches for events.
