Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a transportation assistant to deliver home-delivered meals across Santa Fe County and assist in loading and unloading for senior citizens. The role includes ensuring safe transport, helping clients into/out of vehicles, and basic vehicle maintenance.

Responsibilities include assisting in kitchen areas, packaging meals and snacks, conducting welfare checks, and reporting concerns to Senior Services staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Bronze level ACT WorkKeys National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) preferred.
• Food Handler certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Transports home-delivered meals to client residences in Santa Fe County.
• Assists clients and ADA clients getting in/out of vehicles and securing items.
• Maintains vehicle clean, fueled, and documents issues per policy.
• Assists in kitchen/dining areas and packaging meals and snacks.
• Performs welfare checks and informs seniors services staff of concerns.
