Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Formulator in Valencia, CA to lead end-to-end formulation development for dietary supplements. You will guide projects from concept through commercialization, oversee stability testing, and support technology transfer to manufacturing in a GMP environment.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, and Marketing to ensure compliant, scalable formulations across tablets, capsules, powders, gummies, and softgels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific field such as Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmacy.
• 4+ years of formulation or product development experience in nutraceuticals, dietary supplements, or related industries.
• Experience taking products from concept to commercialization in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with GMP and 21 CFR Part 111 is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead formulation activities from concept through launch across multiple dosage forms.
• Design and execute benchtop, pilot, scale-up and verification batches for technology transfer.
• Develop stability protocols and interpret stability data to ensure shelf-life.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams to meet timelines.
• Mentor junior formulators and laboratory staff.
