Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Nursing Department Manager in Tennessee to lead the long-term care facility's nursing services, ensuring compliance with regulations and high resident care standards. You will oversee operations, enhance employee health programs, and support facility surveys while coordinating with the Medical Director and leadership team.

The role requires active LPN licensure in the state, 5+ years of experience, 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

Possess an Active LPN license in the state of residence.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience.
One (1) to two (2) years management/supervisory experience required.
Must have a current/active CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Manage the overall operations of the Nursing Department in accordance with Company policies, standards of nursing practices and governmental regulations.
Maintain excellent care of all residents' needs.
Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized governmental agencies.
Assume responsibility of the facility in the absence of the Administrator and Assistant Administrator (if applicable).
Oversee the employee health program in cooperation with the Medical Director and Staff Development Coordinator.
Monitor the Weekly Level of Care Report, Dietary Consultant Report, and Pharmacy Consultant Report and take appropriate actions.
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the nursing services department, programs, and activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines governing the long-term care facility.
