Job summary

IntelliResume is seeking a dedicated Registered Staff Nurse to provide quality nursing care at Nantucket Cottage Hospital in Massachusetts. This full-time role requires an RN license and offers a competitive pay range of $37.69 - $89.59 hourly.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for patient assessments, developing care plans, administering medications, and ensuring exceptional patient care across all age groups. Candidates should also possess BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Current, valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire.
• ACLS & PALS certification required prior to completion of orientation or within 6 months of hire.

What You'll Do

• Collect and document all data pertinent to each patient’s actual and potential needs on admission or within twenty-four (24) hours of admission.
• Document and report significant findings of ongoing patient assessment.
• Formulate the patient plan of care based on age‑specific needs and acceptable standards of practice.
• Communicate the patient plan of care through shift reports and other established procedures.
• Initiate discharge plan within twenty-four (24) hours of admission.
• Implement and document teaching plan in the patient record.
• Organize own patient care and demonstrate ability to set priorities.
• Administer and document medications according to established procedures.
• Use standard precautions as outlined in the Nursing Department Infection Control Manual.
• Evaluate nursing interventions to changing patient situations as demonstrated by patient outcomes.

Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school required; bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Experience

• One (1) year of prior, related medical/surgical experience preferred.

Licenses & Certifications

• Current, valid Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS/CPR certification required within one week of hire.
