Job summary

San Diego Post Acute is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee the entire nursing department, staff scheduling, and policies. The role requires ensuring resident safety and high-quality care, as well as guiding staff education, performance evaluations, and compliance with regulations.

You will coordinate MDS/care planning and participate in QA, UR, and state surveys, while managing department budgets and collaborating with physicians and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of nurse management experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Point Click Care (PCC).

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing department and staffing levels.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures; ensure compliance.
• Ensure resident safety and respectful care for all residents.
• Coordinate recruitment, hiring and training of nursing staff.
• Coordinate MDS and care planning; participate in related conferences.
• Participate in QA, Utilization Review and state survey follow-up activities.
• Manage department budgeting and reporting; liaise with physicians and families.
