Job summary

The Waters Of Tipton is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to oversee nursing services, therapy department, and regulatory compliance 24/7. The DON reports to the Administrator and leads staff in accordance with facility policies.

Responsibilities include ensuring skilled nursing and rehab services, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, assigning qualified supervisory personnel, and participating in admission screening and quality assurance processes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current, valid Registered Nurse license in the state of the facility.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nursing service administration.
• Strong knowledge of state, federal and local regulations pertaining to long-term care.

Responsibilities

• Oversee nursing services, therapy department, and ensure 24/7 resident care.
• Supervise, counsel, and disciplines nursing staff; participate in recruitment and scheduling.
• Coordinate interdepartmental activities and ensure compliance with Corporate Compliance Program.

Education

RN license

1 year nursing service administration experience

Regulatory knowledge (state, federal, local long-term care)
