Job summary

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse per Florida Statute 464.
• 1 year of supervisory and/or nurse administrator experience.
• Current CPR from the American Heart Association.
• Willingness to work every other weekend/holidays.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word).
• Experience with Electronic Health Records.
• Experience in long-term care or 120-bed facility.
• Experience with MatrixCare system.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Background check and drug screen completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality professional care to veterans per SOP and Nurse Practice Act.
• Perform initial and ongoing assessments and ensure care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments per MD orders; supervise staff.
• Ensure nursing staff follow job descriptions and maintain care standards.
• Review shift assignments to meet patient needs and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain documentation reflecting resident status and care provided.
• Lead quality improvement and ensure safety in the unit.
