Job summary

Cannon Cochran Management Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Nurse Case Manager for a Nevada Workers' Compensation program. You will provide medical case management and utilization review, serving as a clinical resource and guiding treatment plans and return-to-work outcomes.

The role manages ~30 medical-only WC claims, with opportunities for collaboration with adjusters, providers, and workers. Candidates should have RN licensure in NV and UR experience, with strong clinical judgment and remote

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license is required.
• Nevada nursing license is required or ability to obtain it.
• Previous Nurse Case Management experience is required.
• Utilization Review experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, treatment planning, and clinical documentation review.
• Experience reviewing medical records and determining medical necessity.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with medical providers, adjusters, employers, and injured workers.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Reliable attendance during established business hours.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical-only Workers' Compensation cases through the case management process.
• Conduct utilization review activities in accordance with Nevada regulations and program requirements.
• Review medical records, treatment plans, provider recommendations, and clinical documentation.
• Assess medical necessity and progression of treatment.
• Develop and document individualized case management action plans.
• Collaborate with adjusters, providers, employers, and injured workers to support positive outcomes.
• Monitor treatment progress and facilitate return-to-work and maximum medical improvement.
• Provide recommendations regarding treatment options, referrals, and independent medical evaluations.
• Support adjusters with clinical insight on treatment plans and diagnoses.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely reporting.
• Assist with provider resource development and clinical education as needed.
• Promote cost-effective treatment while maintaining quality care and compliance.
