General Dynamics Electric Boat is seeking a Nuclear Engineering Auditor to drive quality and regulatory compliance across design, construction, and fleet support.

The role involves developing and executing audit plans, presenting findings to management, and coaching responses to audit reports. Candidates should have an engineering degree and early-career NNPP or NRC experience, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Nuclear, Radiological, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial/Systems, or Materials) required.
• 0-2 years of post graduate Engineering experience preferred.
• Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program (NNPP) or Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Develop audit project plans with timelines and key attributes.
• Manage and execute the audit plan from initiation through closure.
• Present observations and findings to all levels of management.
• Write engineering audit reports and support responses to audit findings.
• Review management responses to audit reports and provide coaching as needed.
• Participate in external audits, inspections, and evaluations.
