Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory seeks a Safeguards Senior Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for nuclear material control, safeguards oversight, and analytical activities. The role directs resources, ensures DOE requirements are met, and coordinates cross-functional activities across INL facilities.

The position operates on a 4x10 schedule ( Fridays off) at the Materials and Fuels Complex and reports to senior leadership. Strong leadership and regulatory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in safeguards and material control.
• Ability to establish criteria for SNM receipts, shipments, inventories and related activities.
• Experience ensuring DOE Orders and NRC regulatory criteria compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage the operations staff to ensure applicable DOE requirements are interpreted and implemented at INL.
• Negotiate with DOE complex-wide entities to establish criteria for SNM receipts and shipments.
• Direct integration and oversight of nuclear material activities across INL facilities.
• Assist in implementing DOE protection strategy for INL's nuclear material inventory.
• Support programmatic results for nuclear operations, research, and material disposition.
• Direct multiple Safeguards groups to ensure duties, development, goals, performance appraisals, and resource needs are managed.
