Job summary

Idaho National Laboratory is seeking an Advanced Reactor Shift Supervisor to lead operations and safety for the Pele Mobile Nuclear Power Plant initiative within the Materials and Fuels Complex. This role involves directing shift personnel, enforcing procedures, and coordinating with emergency management for safe, reliable plant activities.

The position requires a valid DOE clearance or eligibility, plus nuclear operation licenses and senior reactor qualifications.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” clearance.
• Must hold or have previously held, an RO license/certification at a DOE, commercial, University, or Navy reactor.
• Able to obtain and maintain DOE Senior Reactor Operator certification and RadWorker II qualification.
• Demonstrate ability to make sound judgement decisions through previous work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise nuclear facilities operations personnel and construction/maintenance crews to meet mission goals.
• Ensure all work activities follow approved procedures and work control.
• Act as BED during facility or site emergencies and coordinate with EAM on drills or actual events.
• Provide direction to the operations supervisor for safe, compliant Pele MNP operations and follow procedures.
