Job summary

Aecon Concessions in the United States is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager to lead the project/site quality program for nuclear projects at a site in Aiken, SC. You will coordinate Project Quality Managers, develop and implement Quality Plans, and ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.

You will oversee QA/QC staffing, train personnel, and liaise with customers and authorities to drive continuous improvement and successful audits.

Qualifications

• Four-year engineering degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Minimum 15 years of Nuclear QA experience on EPCI and fabrication projects.
• 5+ years of managing QA/QC staff.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with 10 CFR50 Appendix B, 10 CFR Part 21, AWS, AISC, ACI, ASME NQA-1, and 10 CFR 830.

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates Project Quality Managers across multiple projects, interfacing with engineering, project management, procurement, and fabrication teams.
• Develops/approves project/site Quality Plans to meet customer and internal requirements.
• Prepares project/site quality procedures to meet Code and regulatory requirements.
• Ensures Aecon's NQA-1 program is implemented across active projects at the site.
• Manages QA/QC staffing to meet project objectives, and trains personnel with maintained qualification records.
• Liaises with customers, regulators, subcontractors and internal departments on quality matters.
• Represents the project/site during customer audits and internal audits.
• Identifies quality problems, issues non-conformance reports or corrective actions, and verifies dispositions.
