Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex nuclear power generation projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and client satisfaction. This role also supports business development via a seller–doer approach and manages multidisciplinary teams across multiple offices in the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 8 years of experience delivering projects in the nuclear power generation industry.
• Experience managing complex, high-stakes projects with accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.
• Understanding of nuclear safety culture, QA, configuration management, and document rigor.
• Proven client-facing leadership and experience supporting pursuits or expanding client scope.
• Ability to meet site access requirements (background checks, fitness-for-duty, security badging).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of nuclear power projects including plant modifications, uprates, licensing support, and capital programs.
• Establish delivery approach, governance, and execution plans aligned with client expectations.
• Direct multi-disciplinary teams and manage subcontractors/vendors.
• Drive interface management across plant stakeholders (operations, maintenance, licensing, supply chain).
• Ensure closeout, lessons learned, and transition to operations where applicable.
• Maintain a strong nuclear safety culture and rigorous, accountable work planning.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and QA requirements (ISO 9001, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1).
• Provide clear internal and client reporting (KPIs, earned value, risk, progress).
• Identify and pursue follow-on work with nuclear clients; support account planning.
• Contribute to proposals: scope, staffing, schedule, and technical narrative.
