Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II to perform diagnostic radionuclide procedures, produce high-quality images, and ensure patient safety and radiation protection.

The role requires NM experience, TX radiography license, CNMT and RTNM registrations, and BLS certification; you will mentor staff, teach at least two in-services annually, and ensure compliant radiopharmacy operations.

Qualifications

  • Two years Nuclear Medicine experience required at hire.
  • TX radiographer license required at hire.
  • Certification as Nuclear Medicine Technologist required at hire.
  • Registration as Nuclear Medicine Technologist required at hire.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate mastery of Tech I responsibilities and complete at least 1 year in Tech I.
  • Perform in-vitro/in-vivo studies and validate data before interpretation.
  • Mentor new staff and students on camera and computer systems.
  • Respond to procedural deviations professionally.
  • Lead 2 staff in-services per year on a topical subject.
  • Operate radiopharmacy processes safely and document procedures; educate staff on radiopharmacy procedures.
