Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist to assist the Clinical Manager in daily department operations, maintain accreditation, and perform complex imaging and tests for patients of all ages. The role requires independent work with available supervision and collaboration with physicians, technologists, and other health professionals.

Applicants must possess ARRT(N), ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification, BLS/CPR certification, and knowledge of ACR accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine and Positron Imaging
• Knowledge of ACR accreditation standards and guidelines
• Ability to serve as a preceptor for new employees/trainees
• Experience with communicating with physicians, peers, and patients at a technical level
• BLS Certification required (AHA) and/or completion of accredited NRC training program

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Nuclear Medicine department
• Assist in accreditation maintenance and preparation
• Perform complex imaging and non-imaging tests for patients of all ages
• Evaluate results and determine the need for additional studies
• Provide professional judgment and interact with multidisciplinary teams
