Valley Health System is seeking a Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist to assist the Clinical Manager in daily department operations, maintain accreditation, and perform complex imaging and tests for patients of all ages. The role requires independent work with available supervision and collaboration with physicians, technologists, and other health professionals.
Applicants must possess ARRT(N), ARRT(R) or NMTCB certification, BLS/CPR certification, and knowledge of ACR accreditation standards.

The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists the Clinical Manager in overseeing daily operations of the Nuclear medicine department, is responsible for accreditation maintenance, as well as performing a variety of complex imaging and non-imaging tests on patients of all ages from neonatal to geriatric, which require professional judgment and interaction with patients, physicians, and other allied health care professionals. He/she is able to work independently although technical supervision assistance is always available.
Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine, Positron Imaging, radiation safety and the ability to evaluate the results along with the ability to determine the need for concomitant or additional studies is required. Experience Registered Nurse with five years clinical experience.
Certification & Licensures: ARRT (N), ARRT(R), or NMTCB certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist required. BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Healthcare Provider (HCP) - AHA approved required and/or successful completion of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology training program. New hires must have American Heart Association (AHA) appropriate certification prior to completion of orientation.
