East Hawaii Region of Hawai`i Health Systems Corporation (HHSC) seeks an Imaging Specialist IV (Nuclear Medicine) to independently perform specialized nuclear medicine procedures and manage radiopharmaceuticals with strict safety and QA compliance.

The role requires ARRT(N) or NMTCB certification, a radiologic technology degree, and Hawaii licensure, plus 1.5+ years of imaging experience. Clinical excellence and patient-centered communication are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from ARRT-recognized program.
  • ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required for Nuclear Medicine.
  • Hawaii license to practice as Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • BLS certification required within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform nuclear medicine examinations and procedures using specialized imaging equipment.
  • Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals per physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Operate, calibrate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment with QA checks.
  • Monitor radioactive materials and maintain regulatory records for receipt, use, storage and disposal.
  • Provide patient-centered care with clear explanations, safety, and age-appropriate support.
  • Document results accurately in EMR and PACS; cross-train as needed.
