Qualifications

• One year of specialized experience performing identifying patient required nuclear medicine tests and treatments.
• Prepare radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals for the diagnostic test or treatment.
• Utilize nuclear medicine equipment such as radiation detectors, scanner apparatuses, Gamma cameras, dose calibrators and survey meters.
• Meet credentialing standards; radiographers must be certified and BLS trained.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient required nuclear medicine tests and treatments based on physician orders.
• Prepare radionuclides and radiopharmaceuticals for procedures.
• Operate and test nuclear medicine equipment including gamma cameras and detectors.
