Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in design, analysis, modification, and support of mechanical systems for nuclear power plant operations. You will report to the Manager, Procurement Engineering and work in a hybrid setup at locations including Lawrenceville GA, Cranberry Township PA, or Rock Hill SC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical design and analysis.
• Experience in regulated environments; knowledge of ASME, NRC, IEEE.
• Familiarity with applicable codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering evaluations, calculations, and analyses for mechanical systems and components.
• Develop, review, and approve design changes and engineering documents per plant procedures.
• Provide technical support for maintenance, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Prepare procurement specs, change packages, and work instructions.
• Interface with regulatory agencies, vendors, and teams to resolve issues.
• Mentor junior engineers and support staff.
• Participate in plant walkdowns, health monitoring, and operability assessments.
• Support outage planning and post-outage reviews for mechanical systems.
• Ensure adherence to ASME, NRC, IEEE and licensing basis.
