Westinghouse Electric Company in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop and support nuclear power plant design modifications, evaluations, and technical issue resolution with multi-disciplinary teams on Balance of Plant systems, uprates, and advanced nuclear technologies.

Reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager of Nuclear Plant Mechanical Engineering, this hybrid role combines on-site and remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in the power industry.
• Ability to work in an international team environment and travel for site visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop design change packages for US and international nuclear power plants.
• Support engineering reports for power uprates in the Balance of Plant area.
• Resolve technical issues for operating nuclear plants and support new projects.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including electrical and civil/structural engineers.
• Apply engineering codes and standards to design, analysis, and evaluation of systems.
• Participate in customer and vendor meetings to present technical materials.
