Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to support complex tasks in nuclear plant mechanical systems, including design changes, verification, and calculations. Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical system engineering in nuclear plants.
• Familiarity with ASME Section III/XI and B31.1 requirements.
• Knowledge of the Standard Design Process.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of Engineering Changes (CO-FLT-ENG-2000 Design Change)
• Design Verification (CO-FLT-ENG-2050 Design Verification)
• Calculations (CO-FLT-ENG-2030 Prepare or Revise a Calculation)
• Procurement Specification or TRD (CO-FLT-ENG-2040 Preparation or Revise a Procurement Specification or TRD)
• Applicability Determination Preparer (CO-FLT-AD)
• 50.59 Screener (CO-FLT-50.59-SCR)
• Experience performing mechanical system engineering, design engineering, or modification engineering at a commercial nuclear plant.
• Experience with Client engineering processes and procedures.
• Experience supporting engineering changes involving mechanical systems, equipment replacement, procurement engineering, operability evaluations, and field implementation.
• Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards including ASME Section III, Section XI, B31.1, and related nuclear industry requirements.
