Job summary

Oak Ridge National Laboratory seeks a Nuclear Materials & Procurement Professional within the NM&P Group of the Research Reactors Division to lead procurement for HFIR and related reactor components, ensuring safety, compliance, and timely availability of critical materials.

You will partner with engineering and maintenance, develop acquisition strategies, oversee supplier performance, and navigate regulations (ASME/NQA-1, DOE orders).

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required with 5+ years of related experience.
• Experience in DOE, DOD, or NRC purchasing and general business skills.
• Strong ability to multi-task, take initiative, and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Lead acquisitions and contract administration for HFIR components.
• Develop, analyze, and implement acquisition strategies and negotiations.
• Supervise supplier performance and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Communicate procurement opportunities, risks, and plans to project leadership.
• Manage supplier relationships and resolve non-technical contract issues.
• Develop warehouse management and optimization strategies.
