Job summary

TRISO-X in Oak Ridge, TN is seeking a Procurement Engineer to own the supply chain strategy, building and leading the supplier base to meet project schedules and cost targets for first-of-a-kind nuclear programs.

You will develop strategic plans, negotiate terms, manage supplier performance, and coordinate with QA to qualify suppliers while guiding Engineering and other units. Nuclear industry experience and a strong background in supplier negotiations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
• Typically 10 years of engineering or supply chain experience with at least 2 in supply chain.
• Experience developing scopes of work for services and procurement of equipment.
• Experience with supplier negotiations.
• Experience in nuclear or highly regulated industries.
• Technical knowledge of power plant components.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop equipment and service suppliers to support project goals and localization targets.
• Develop strategic supply chain plans and execution plans.
• Negotiate contract terms, costs, schedules, and T&Cs.
• Coordinate with QA to qualify suppliers and define QA requirements.
• Monitor supplier performance against contract terms and expectations.
• Provide guidance on commercial strategy to Engineering and other units.
