Job summary

Aecon is seeking a Senior Estimator in Charlotte, NC to prepare and document cost estimates and execution plans for complex construction projects. You will compute material, equipment, subcontractor, and labor costs during bid Tendering, with remote-work flexibility.

The role requires strong design review, quantity takeoff, and vendor coordination skills, plus a solid background in nuclear or federal project estimation.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of estimating experience on medium to high complexity construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction drawings and documents; experience with estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews for MEP, Civil and Architectural packages.
• Create sketches, drawings, and specs to meet client requirements.
• Perform value engineering and constructability reviews during preconstruction.
• Drive production of detailed cost budgets on bid projects.
• Maintain historical cost database for estimating new work.
• Execute quantity takeoffs and unit pricing with estimating software.
