Job summary

Constellation is seeking an experienced Senior Nuclear Engineer to perform advanced engineering tasks in support of nuclear plant operations. You will lead technical activities, guide analyses, and ensure compliance with safety standards and industry codes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 10 years of experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage complex engineering projects in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 10 years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience (e.g. Duty team lead, inspection lead), teamwork and leadership attributes.
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
• Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects.
• Provide technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability ensuring compliance to customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Accountable for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of work ensuring proper configuration management and assuring that standard design criteria, practices and codes are used in preparation of plans and specifications.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system problems.
• Provide initial or complete task management of engineering issues.
• Recommend equipment, new concepts and techniques to improve performance, simplify construction, reduce costs, correct design or material flaws, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
• Supports plant design modifications, testing and problem solving.
• Assure all engineering products are in accordance with safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement and coordinate supervisory activities with respect to engineering personnel.
• Perform other duties as directed, including emergency response and outage support.
