Job summary

Constellation is seeking an experienced nuclear engineer to perform advanced engineering tasks in support of nuclear plant operations. The role requires technical decision-making, deep discipline knowledge, and compliance with industry codes and regulations.

The position emphasizes independent research, project analyses, and providing expert engineering guidance to improve safety, reliability, and availability while managing design changes and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical or Nuclear) with 10 years of engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership experience (e.g. Duty team lead, inspection lead), teamwork and leadership attributes.
• Maintain minimum access requirements or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and favorable medical examination and/or testing in accordance with position duties.
• Turbine experience HIGHLY DESIRED.
• Professional Engineer Registration.
• Advanced technical degree or coursework.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced nuclear engineering and technical tasks in support of nuclear plant operations.
• Perform independent research, reviews, studies and analyses in support of technical projects.
• Provide technical expertise to develop, manage and implement engineering activities related to plant safety, reliability, maintainability, and availability ensuring compliance with customer needs, regulatory requirements, and corporate policies.
• Assure all engineering products prepared or overseen are in accordance with applicable safety analyses, industry codes, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement and coordinate functional supervisory activities including, but not limited to, personnel, budgetary accountabilities and planning goals with respect to engineering personnel.
• Perform other job assignments and duties as directed by management or pursuant to company policy.
