Job summary

FootBridge seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to support design and analysis for commercial nuclear plant modifications, upgrades, and new build projects. You will work under senior staff in a highly regulated environment to develop robust electrical solutions.

Responsibilities include performing design and analysis, producing calculations and documentation, and delivering specifications and drawings that meet project and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program.
• 10+ years of engineering experience, incl. 4+ years in a commercial nuclear env.
• Experience supporting electrical design for plant modifications, upgrades, or new builds.
• Strong knowledge of medium/low voltage distribution, switchgear, motor control centers, protective relaying.
• Experience developing calculations, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.
• Ability to read and develop one-line diagrams, schematics, and electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards for electrical design and construction.
• Experience with formal design control processes, configuration management, and quality programs.
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical engineering design and analysis for plant modifications, upgrades, and capital projects.
• Develop and review engineering calculations, evaluations, and technical documentation.
• Prepare design deliverables including specifications, drawings, and modification packages.
• Evaluate existing plant electrical systems and design solutions to improve safety and reliability.
• Apply power distribution, switchgear, motor control, and protective relaying principles.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement design solutions.
• Support change processes and ensure design outputs meet project and regulatory requirements.
• Interface with clients and project teams to define technical scope and resolve issues.
• Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Participate in technical reviews, design verification, and quality assurance processes.
