Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC seeks a Systems Engineer SME to advance mission-critical software modernization and deployment for Air Force and USSTRATCOM/J56. You will lead system analyses, integration efforts, and cross-domain collaboration to ensure interoperability and compliance with stringent nuclear standards.

The role is on-site at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, requiring US citizenship, TS clearance with SCI eligibility, a Bachelor's degree, and 12+ years of relevant DoD experience, including 5+ years

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience including a minimum of 5 years supporting the DoD.

Responsibilities

• Lead business systems analysis to support integration of conventional and nuclear mission capabilities under the J56 portfolio
• Coordinate requirements gathering with stakeholders to ensure alignment of strategic objectives
• Develop detailed process flows and data exchange mappings bridging legacy nuclear systems with modern conventional platforms
• Partner with engineering and security teams to meet nuclear surety, safety, and compliance standards
• Facilitate cross-domain working groups to resolve integration challenges and ensure interoperability
• Oversee end-to-end integration testing including scenario simulations for mission sets
• Provide leadership with impact analyses, risk assessments, and mitigation recommendations for dual-domain readiness
