Job summary

GEM Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Nuclear Construction Specialist to support the Los Alamos National Laboratory in Los Alamos, New Mexico.

The role focuses on deactivation and decommissioning, construction, and modernization within a Hazard Category 2 nuclear facility, with emphasis on safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will provide technical leadership, coordinate field execution, manage personnel and subcontractors, and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule while

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
U.S. citizenship due to federal work.
Ability to obtain and maintain government clearance if needed.
Experience coordinating technical activities, projects, or construction in complex environments.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership and field oversight for D&D, construction, and modernization activities at TA-55.
Ensure deliverables are completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with policies and regulations.
Coordinate readiness, requirements, staffing, resources, and field execution across multiple groups.
Oversee personnel and subcontractors, resolve operational issues, support planning and budgeting, and ensure documentation is complete.
Support approvals, readiness reviews, investigations, corrective actions, and continuous process improvements.
