Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, TN, seeks a Commissioning Support Lead to provide technical oversight for startup readiness under DOE Order 425.1. Senior Specialist level with nuclear experience will lead cross-functional teams across operations, safety, and management.

The role requires strong communication, broad knowledge of plant facilities, and ability to develop strategic directions and training content to improve performance while ensuring safe, compliant execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum 7 years of relevant nuclear experience.
• OR Master's degree with a minimum 6 years of relevant nuclear experience.
• OR PhD with a minimum 3 years of relevant nuclear experience.
• Fifteen or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure DOE Order 425.1 compliance during startups.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, safety, and management.
• Interface with management for readiness preparations and timely execution.
• Maintain floor-level presence to guide performance improvement.
