Job summary

D2 Consulting is seeking a Senior NSX Engineer to design, implement, operate, secure, and troubleshoot VMware NSX-based networks within a DoW environment. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph and 5+ years of NSX/vSphere experience.

You will own the full NSX lifecycle from architecture and deployment through security hardening, automation, upgrades, and Tier 3 incident resolution, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating with cybersecurity and network teams.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph.
• 5+ years of hands-on VMware NSX experience in enterprise-scale environments.
• 5+ years of VMware vSphere experience, including ESXi, vCenter, VDS, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and sustain NSX-T / VCF networking across production, development, test, and mission environments.
• Engineer NSX Manager clusters, transport zones, and edge clusters.
• Implement microsegmentation and zero-trust policies using NSX components.
• Lead NSX upgrades, patching, and lifecycle-management activities with plans and backouts.
• Provide Tier 3 escalation support and mentor junior engineers.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related discipline
