Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior NSX Engineer to design, implement, operate, secure, and troubleshoot VMware NSX-based network virtualization solutions for a mission-critical DoW environment.

The ideal candidate holds a TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph and brings 5+ years of hands-on NSX engineering, strong vSphere knowledge, and experience owning the full NSX lifecycle from architecture to deployment and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with current CI Polygraph.
• 5+ years hands-on VMware NSX experience in enterprise environments.
• 5+ years VMware vSphere experience including ESXi, vCenter, VDS, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, operate, and secure VMware NSX-T/VCF networking across environments.
• Engineer NSX Manager clusters, transport zones, NIC profiles, and NSX Edge clusters.
• Implement microsegmentation and least-privilege policies with Firewall rules and context tagging.
• Lead upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management with test and backout plans.
• Provide Tier-3 escalation support and mentor junior engineers.
