Job summary
Allianz Commercial is seeking an Executive Underwriter for Natural Resources & Construction with LatAm focus, based in Miami. You will lead underwriting strategy, mentor teams, and drive risk management across the regional market.
You will leverage AI tools to enhance decision-making, maintain strong broker relationships, and ensure governance and compliance across complex NR&C portfolios. This role requires fluency in Spanish/Portuguese and a Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial/Engineering
Qualifications
- 7+ years proven NR&C underwriting experience.
- Strong regional knowledge of Miami and LatAm markets.
- Established broker network in Miami and regional market.
- Ability to assess natural hazards and exposures for NR&C.
- Experience managing underwriting books and portfolio strategies.
- Experience using analytics or AI-enabled underwriting tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute regional NR&C underwriting strategy.
- Collaborate with Distribution, Claims and other lines to drive growth.
- Monitor catastrophe exposure and interpret scenarios.
- Serve as senior technical referral point for complex cases.
- Underwrite new and renewal accounts within authority.
- Drive portfolio profitability and risk management.
- Build relationships with brokers, clients and risk managers.
- Lead peer reviews and promote underwriting governance.
