Job summary

PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Sr. Advanced Systems Engineer to support commercial and military aerospace engine programs. The role emphasizes hands-on steady-state and transient performance and operability analysis using NPSS thermodynamic engine models.

Ideal candidates will have gas turbine modeling experience, MBSE collaboration skills, and a track record of building, debugging, and refining NPSS engine cycle models across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of turbine engine Performance & Operability modeling and analysis.
• Expertise in steady-state and/or transient thermodynamic cycle analysis.
• Strong NPSS modeling expertise and capability to build, debug, refine engine models.
• Experience with MBSE methods and tools.
• Ability to decompose requirements and work across engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain steady-state and transient NPSS models.
• Develop NPSS customer models and perform requirements analysis.
• Support engine development and qualification through data reduction and testing.
• Collaborate across systems, controls, mechanical, and test engineering.
• Mentor engineers in NPSS modeling and present results to stakeholders.
