Job summary

Intuitive in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a mechanical engineer to support manufacturing lines for the daVinci SinglePort platform. You will contribute technical mechanical skills, develop fixtures, and implement assembly processes for both mature and new products.

You will lead root cause investigations, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with Design Engineering, Quality, and Suppliers to ensure robust, repeatable manufacturing with strong process controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing engineering for complex assemblies.
• Ability to drive continuous improvement using data.
• Experience with Design for Manufacturability/Assembly (DFM/DFA).
• Familiarity with GXP, ECOs, NCRs and quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Sustain and improve existing in-house manufacturing lines.
• Own and drive continuous improvement of mechanical fixtures and processes.
• Prototype and implement fixtures to improve repeatability and reduce operator variance.
• Lead root cause investigations for assembly defects and drive corrective actions.
• Support quality system compliance including ECO review, NCRs and nonconformance evaluations.
• Contribute to development of new assembly and test processes using DOE and Cpk.
