Job summary

Intuitive, a global leader in robotic-assisted surgery, seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer to design, validate, and improve manufacturing processes for precision needles, catheters, and single-use accessories.

You will collaborate with Design, Materials, Quality, and Supplier teams to ensure robust, scalable processes, perform DOE and process capability analyses, and lead root-cause investigations while supporting early NPI ramps and scale-up.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably medical devices.
• Experience with precision mechanical assemblies, polymer processing and joining processes (laser welding, bonding, reflow).
• Strong knowledge of Six Sigma tools, Cpk, DOE, SPC.

Responsibilities

• Develop, release, and validate scalable manufacturing processes for next-generation needle and accessory assemblies.
• Lead joining/forming processes such as laser welding, adhesive bonding, tipping, grinding, etc.
• Define robust assembly and inspection methods for subassemblies.
• Ensure high-quality build and testing, including mechanical and packaging validation.
