Job summary

Generac Power Systems in Oshkosh, WI seeks an experienced NPD Project Engineer IV to lead system-integrated generator development from concept to production launch, guiding cross-functional teams and ensuring performance, manufacturability, and schedule objectives.

You will architect and integrate mechanical, electrical, and controls subsystems, translate requirements into specifications, and drive design reviews, DFMEA, and testing plans with Creo CAD/CAE and SAP-based processes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
Minimum 9 years of progressive engineering experience in new product development of complex electromechanical systems.
Demonstrated experience with generator or power generation products and system-level integration.

Responsibilities

Lead technical execution of new product development programs, focusing on system integration and on-time delivery.
Architect, design, and integrate mechanical and electrical systems for generator products.
Translate customer/regulatory requirements into system and component specifications.
Design, test, and evaluate components for cost, reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Drive design reviews and risk mitigation for integration challenges.
Develop, execute, and evaluate testing plans and validation activities.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in SAP-based program execution.
