Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Current California Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner license.
• Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).

Responsibilities

• Performing patient assessments and reviewing patient information.
• Coordinating planned nursing care with other health care team members.
• Identifying goals, formulating plans of patient care and evaluating outcomes.
• Training and instructing new personnel as necessary.
• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of a clean work environment.
• Assisting with organization and development of policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with care plans and determining appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Providing acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections/medications, and suturing wounds.
• Educating patients and families as appropriate and providing continuity of care.
