Job summary

OneDigital | Resourcing Edge is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide patient care during procedures and support physicians in a well-established California practice.

The role requires initiative, judgment, and the ability to work effectively with patients and medical staff. Responsibilities include assessments, planning care, education, and ensuring adherence to care plans in a fast-paced clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, and discretion in patient care.
• Licensure and certification as required for practice in California.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and review patient information.
• Coordinate planned nursing care with other health care team members.
• Identify goals, formulate plans of patient care and evaluate outcomes.
• Train and instruct new personnel as necessary.
• Assist in maintaining a clean work environment.
• Assist with organization and development of policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with care plans and determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Provide acute and chronic patient care, including histories, physicals, therapies, injections, suturing wounds.
• Educate patients and families and provide continuity of care.

A Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant is directly responsible for patient care during procedures and any duties delegated by the physicians. NPs/PAs exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making skills. They are expected to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the physician. Candidates should be able to make responsible decisions within the scope of a dependent medical practitioner. Responsibilities

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Providing acute and chronic patient care, including taking histories, doing physicals, monitoring therapies, giving injections/medications, and suturing wounds
• Educating patients and families as appropriate and providing continuity of care

Experience

License/Certification

• Current California Registered Nurse or Nurse Practitioner license
• Certified by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
